1.Executive (Structural Engineer)
No of Vacancy : 1 (one) Position Code : 01063768 Grade : E2 SKG : Civil/Structural & Pipeline Eng Department : Reliability & Integrity Engineering, Peninsular Malaysia Operation Division : Peninsular Malaysia Operation Company : PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd – PMO Location : KOP, Kerteh
Qualifications · Possess a degree in any Engineering · 3-5 years experience in related field Major Accountabilities 1. Plan and execute all structural facilities including terminal and marine related equipment, design, fabrication, modification and upgrading, installation and rectification works in accordance to relevant code and standards, industry best practices and operational requirements in the most cost effective and save manner.
2. Develop sub-ordinate technical capability and competency. Effectively monitor/attend to ensure that the structural engineers perform their activities in an organised and co-ordinated manner.
3. Undertake studies and evaluate solution on structural FIP for technical feasibility and/or propose alternative design with safe and cost effective solution for improvement of production and maintenance, and source new technology for application.
4. Plan and implement the structural underwater inspection programme activities as per CIMG and RBI guidelines such as ROV, Divers , FMD,
5. Effectively attend and provide technical support/assistance to Asset Team in the civil, structural and marine related field in upholding a continuous safe operation production.
6. Develop and maintain structural inspection database for monitoring and integrity assessment including Metocean data and its facilities.
7. Review and assess all inspection records and findings and verify current structural integrity status (such as RBI, FFS, SRA/SIA) and develop and formulate the way forward for inspection and maintenance plan. Recommend and execute remedial action on the anomalies discovered after conducting detail analysis.
8. Plan, coordinate, supervise and perform all civil engineering activities i.e. Concrete work, building work, drainage work, road work, site survey and construction work.
9. Direct and effectively supervise contractor/consultant for the engineering design and installation construction work undertaken Coordinate and undertaken the inspection assessment for the structural and building damaged/ failure/accident. Undertake studies and coordinate the rectification work with minimum production interference and safely.
10. Implement and monitor HSE throughout all works handled. Work closely with HSE section and enforce safety briefing and audit to all jobs carried out.
11. Maintain good rapport with related government authority (DOSH,DOE, NIOSH) and partners to ensure smooth structural and civil related project implementation.

Qualifications · Possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. · 3-5 years experience in related field
Major Accountabilities
1. Lead comprehensive feasibility and conceptual study by identifying areas for improvement, develop detailed plan and approach with regards to technology, methodology and commonality and optimise facilities configurations to ensure optimum improvement options proposed for Facilities Improvement Project (FIP) raised with relates to mechanical and piping systems.
2. Review and evaluate mechanical and piping related project detailed engineering design by preparing cost estimate, scope of work, delivery schedule, contracting strategy, technical evaluation criteria and commercial evaluation criteria to ensure completion of detailed drawings, manuals, design report and specification for optimum fabrication.
3. Review and evaluate equipment specifications, bid enquiry package and provision of engineering services for the purchase of mechanical and piping related materials and equipments and participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) to ensure the full compliance to contract requirements and availability of system to support operation and on time project delivery.
4. Evaluate and recommend potential application of new technology and to ensure proven technology is used pertaining to mechanical equipment and piping system that suits operational requirements for cost optimization.
5. Perform technical integrity check of project deliverables through Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), Peer/Line Review, Project Integrated Review (PIR), Quality Risk Assessment (QRA) or Project Risk Assessment (PRA) to ensure compliance to PETRONAS Technical Standard (PTS), international codes and standard and local authorities or government regulations.
6. Provide technical assistance for Project Management Team (PMT) Development Division (DD) in Kuala Lumpur (KL), during various phases of a new project execution/ audit/ improvement initiatives i.e. during data gathering, conceptual design, detailed design, Factory Acceptance Test, project progress meeting at fabrication yard, commissioning assistance after hook-up and troubleshooting after hand-over to operation.
7. Networking and Relationship Building Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers in order to keep abreast with latest development in the relevant markets and capitalise on insider status and strategic alliances to capture opportunities for new business ventures and enhance public confidence in the company business solutions, products and services.
8. Corporate Governance Enforce the implementation of applicable PETRONAS procedures and guidelines and affect the compliance to statutory and legislative requirements in order to ensure conformance to the established Limits of Authority (LOA), group wide policies and government regulations to safeguard PETRONAS and shareholders# integrity and image as a responsible multinational.
9. Codes of Conduct(COCD) and HSE Policies Communicate, interpret and champion the execution of the objectives and provisions of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and Codes of Conduct and Discipline (COCD) within the working team and undertake appropriate mitigation and/or intervention programmes to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony.
10. Leadership and Capability Development Drive the development of competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery by determining talent requirements, instilling values of integrity, providing leadership, coaching and guidance and implementing internal successions to ensure internalisation of the right leadership and capabilities in executing their jobs.
11. Mindset, Behaviour and Culture Develop and implement distinctive mindset, behavior and culture within the working team to achieve high performance in work by leading the adoption and implementation of value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instill high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and loyalty that will contribute to operational excellence.
