What is SQ?

There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,transient response, and the list goes on and on.
SQ is a combination of all these technical factors as well as proper
speaker placement and proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

mantaps apanya hehe...aku masih pakai brg lama juga, mau tukar monoblock JBL n rca/cable ja..pakai yg murah2 ja la, buli juga tu kalau di tune btl2, cover2 d sloppy part hehe...kwn aku c 'smurf' tu pakai full set JBL, lagi sedap dari sys aku huhu..

oh kurang garam kali tu final hehe..rca nanti dulu..tune HU dulu...wow..ganas...telampau banyak slope kali ni, potong sound detail banyak tu..cuba 12db smua lebih natural(bising sikit tp control d EQ) EQ cuba ko tukar PEQ jd GEQ dulu, pastu kasi -1 flat semua (kalau eq level ko ada +6 n -6 la), bunyi bersih sikit tu, pastu baru adjust 2-3 band smapi balance tone nya..cuba try mid hi 4khz 12db, hi 4khz 12db, ada clear sikit ka? (nda payah kc on sound2 efek macam loud, media xpander, bbs ntah apa2 smua tu..sbb kita mau kita punya sound sendiri).

slamat mencuba sama2 kita belajar..

sa teda on 2 media xpnder suma 2.hehe teda p kcau sbab tdk tau 2 pa fungsi...hehe sa try lgi sok pa kejadian.hehe

yg smurf tu JBL GTi ka full set? atau GTO saja? tak mungkin nobelium kalah habis tu. mungkin mo tuning lebih sikit.

oh dia pakai GTi n amp gto macam aku,sound ok sbb dia 3 way ngan mid macrom,..HU alpine apa dia pakai tu nda ingat tapi ada processor la.. kalau gto bikin malu aku saja haha...tdk la kalah habis sikit ja sbb mid bass dls kurang, n vocal kecil sbb teda mid...skrg suda tune balik cover the mid bass n vocal haha..i think sama level suda tu ngan dia..sistem aku menang bhg clarity la dari dia haha (puji diri lagi tu hehehe)

patutla, org guna GTi, ada standard tu. dia punya alpine 7889 ka? yg 1.5 din tu. actualy tu nobelium sesuai tuk sealed enclosure ba. lupa suda volume dia. tapi midrange dan high macam yg ko kata tu, tak kalah banyak. ko ada kasi angle mid ko ka? dia punya macrom mid made by morel kan?

sa tau suda pa yg kurang sa pnya system...kurang music. suara mndahului music.

then ko cuba main gain di amp dulu. kasi mid lebih. nanti cuba main eq sikit.

Waw....sorry2 geng2 sq semua....lama udah tia dpt online ni....nilah tinggal d ulu ni banyak masalah logistik....sudahlah internet down....kena campur router kena kilat....mau bali baru tadalah pula duit....gatah masuk bulan ke 3 udah ni tia kena potong....sudahlah daun gugur....bugis lagi balik kampung....rindu keluarga...kena tambah lagi sekarang ni musim ujan.....akhirnya tada lui n bill lah pula tia dpt bayar....udah tia dapat bayar bil lagi kana potong...udah tu gaduh lagi ama sumandak, masa tu ni SQ pun tada erti udah..kalau sumandak udah tada sistem ratusan ribu pun ndada erti udah....lapas tu sudah dpt selesai tu ilanglah pula alamat ni siaoloon....inilah urg bilang sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga lagi....lapas tu jatuh lagi atas tai karabau....

Tia dptlah mau baca semua post korang yg batimbun2 tu.....tapi apa pun yg sa dpt tangkap c finalazy sudah jadi hebat high end sekarang.....gila....picayalah ckp sa finalazy....ko tia akan menyesal ama tu XT25....bunyi dia sedap n halus.....vifa memang lebih kurang character bunyi dia ama DLS....tia jauh....tapi XT25 mmg one of the best....kalau ko hentam piano pun ko boleh cross dia 2.5khz tapi slope paling kurang 18db....kalau ko dpt kasih overlap sikit ama tu mid waw....main gila sedap bunyi dia tu....sa tia taulah apa mo ckp....tu sistem c CK pun ko talan tu....dia punya lower treble mmg sedap gila....cuma dia punya higher extensions dia tia berapa baguslah....

Drivers like Scanspeak or Vifa are very low distortion drivers that do
not have any character of their own. They make the best of what the
system sounds like in the first place.

So, if the system does
not sound good in the first place, replacing with a vifa or scanspeak
driver will probably reveal how terrible or crappy it is (and some
ding-dongs will blame it on the drivers) or in short, sound even worst!
If you replace the drivers into a normal and average sounding system
that still lacks a lot of bells and whistles, the system will just
sound as very normal as it can be. However, if you replace this drivers
into a system that sound really good, will make it shine even further
or in short, makes the best (better) out of what the system is.

In
short, Vifa and Scans are not plug and play drivers. You see them used
in highly regarded and even very expensive home loudspeakers but they
sound different in all of them. It depends on how the foundation is
built around this marvelous low distortion tranducers, be it the
mounting and enclosures, the crossover quality etc.

utk semua peminat vifa dan scanspeak. final, ur system boleh lawan ba kalau amp dan HU upgrade. front staging mmg tak kalah tu. skrg mo banyak bergantung kpd tuning.

Tapikan kalau mau selamat tu XT25 jgnlah cross sampai 2.5khz....3.15khz should be okay...tapikan kalau ko cross pg 2.5khz mmg tidak dinafikan bunyi dia lebih sedap...cannot be denied...the temptation to cross that low is very strong.....

npa jn cross 2.5khz? bikin takut ni..hehe

oh alpine 9861+pxa h701 la kali tu ck..mid aku lum buat angle..susah mau dpt tu sound..n mau pakai tweeter pod juga tuk tweeters...skrg susah mau buat precise tuning..nda mau kc org dengar dulu sistem yg buruk ni.

------> haaaa ini la maksud aku tu ck..tu dls tweeters macam ada di EQed bah bunyinya..lain btl dari bunyi instrument ori (MB tweeters are better in this aspect), yang aku cari2 ni ialah speaker yg neutral (that do not have any character of their own)...

wah rendah btl kamu cross tu..aku paling rendah 4khz-3.5khz, amat takut terbakar haha..biarla sacrifice sound sikit jgn sacrifice duit banyak haha

motto DLS tu super natural sound la. haha. macam kena dihina sudah tu, lol. bila competition, team DLS turunkan tweeter nobelium sampai 2.2kHz. daily listening 3.15kHz. btw bro, P80 oso has its own coloration. so hard to say if it's DLS's fault. it depends on the system and installation as a whole. remember to angle the mid, it helps a lot. jgn nanti semua mo telan sistem aku, haha.

so is it safe for xt25 turun smpai 2.6khz for daily listning?or better play high?so far, tiada pula sa tebca ada mslh...tpi myb they just didnt tell...hehe

2.5khz at more than 18db is okay bah...it will sounds sweeter....my fren cross at that freq n slope b4 no problemo at all...its working well....just don blast it with the piano tracks...
