What is SQ?

There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,transient response, and the list goes on and on.
SQ is a combination of all these technical factors as well as proper
speaker placement and proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

dengan systm sya yg skrg ni tdk paya la...heheh kin malu saja...klo ada placing pn confirm controversy trus...hehe

ada beza sikit2 juga 2 untuk speaker.klo ko perasan macam sub yg same model tpi diffrnt resistance.tdk sama 2 dorg pnya Fs,Qes dn bla².tat means sub yg same model tpi diffrnt resistnce, enclosure pun lain sukatan.

amp:
untuk amp selalunya untuk brand yg biasa2 punya, lower resistnce equal to higher THD.higher THD means larger distortion.
contohnya
1 amp main 4ohm RMS 300watt = THD 0.03% means at 300watt punya power, THD cuma 0.03%.masih accptable la. tapi bila main 2ohm RMS 600watt = THD 0.3% means power suda kuat tpi THD 0.3%...most forums sya bca we shud avoid THD lebih 0.1% punya amp.myb itu distortion suda ketara la 2.

selalunya amp punya spec ada tulis 2. THD = 0.01% tpi kita lupa mau tngok bhagian ini
2ohm 600watt = 0.1% THD
4ohm 300watt = 0.01% THD

macam juga amp yg tulis max power tpi teda RMS la. ini cuma technical data.klau real life situation tatau la macam mna bunyinya kn but bear in mind tat a quality amp has same THD value no mater wat resistance setting u make.

so b4 buying ur speaker, make sure u check ur amp first

final, THD amp tak berapa affect ur system kalau low freq. macam aku bridge amp aku tuk sub, tanya Boi la mana ada distortion. tapi kalau bridge utk tweeter atau mid lain la ceritanya. THD less than 2% usually not heard by our ears unless u have some really golden ears. tengok macam alpine PDX yg 1st batch, dia punya THD i think is less than 1% at 4 ohm. tapi org guna juga. kalau ada noise lebih baik check grounding atau cable. very seldom berpunca dari amp.

rudy, ok ba, u call me la on sat night. we meet up at kingfisher. bring ur own CD to test la, easier for u to listen. tapi i rasa lain juga taste kita.

pasal ohm tu, it's obvious the higher impedance the cleaner the sound. for example, why do u see most home audio yg hi end semua guna speaker 8 atau 16 ohm. because it gives something better to the listener. it's not dat they can't produce low impedance equipment, juz dat higher impedance yields better result. like after i bridged my sub at 6ohm and changed to thicker speaker cable, it now has better punch and articulation. Boi can be my witness to this.

yup...for sub memang tdk bnyak beza dn susa juga mau beza 2.tatau juga pa macam distortion yg dimaksudkan ni THD.I dont think noise la.myb bunyi tdk cantik la 2.

sama macam most home theater la, impdnce lvl tinggi2 sbab mau produce better SQ.sometimes ada juga amp yg technical data dia tdk sama dngn actual stuff.underrated

lgipn klau ada choice,amp yg THD 0.001% dngn 1% mesti ada ragu2 sua dngn 1% tu kn...hehe kira ni data untuk first reference la.mnatau ada golden ear mau dngar...haha

imagine ba klo ko dngar system org kn trus komen ko..."hmmm...ini THD 0.5% ni" hehe mesti 2 owner bingung skijap...haha

nowadays most manufacturers overrate their stuffs. onli a handful keep faith in their quality.

tula, just a technical matter, not to say that its not important, but it is less concerned...tu sub bukan kita dgr jelas pun, sudala letak di bonet saja n sub main sq ni kalau dia hidup la katakan, msti dia ckp "adui bosannya, bilala tuan ku ni mau pakai full potential ku ni, ni bosan btl, macam teda apa2 ja" hehe..tp mau main sql tpaksala blanja lebih sikit..sbb monoblock yg 4ohm watt tinggi kmfom mahal punya haha..
