1. Where is it installed ?
If installed in your servo brake hose , you will enjoy the benefits of assisting to improve your braking capabilities
If direct to manifold , it will serve purely for performance


2. How does it help my braking system ?
When installed to your servo hose , mini turbo helps to provide proper compression for your brakes. The effect is immediate. An excellent safety feature when there is a need to do an emergency brake.


3. Will it damage the brakes or engine ?
The unit is actually a diagnostic tool , you will feel your brakes is hard when you apply pressure , this indicates there is a leak in your brake system. It is an additional air intake designed to channel enhanced air flow into your engine. 10 years in the market , there is no reported side effect besides a enjoying a better driving experience.


4. Why do we need to clean the filter ?
As it is in essence an additional air intake , anything in ur vehicle that has a filter would need to be changed or cleaned. Dust and grease may restrict air flow and reduce the benefits of mini turbo so cleaning the unit will help restore the unit to its optimum condition.


5. How often do I need to clean it?
You can clean it during your normal service interval , simply use an air gun at the workshop or buy a degreaser and spray the filter head and wipe clean . If you travel to industrial areas , you will need to clean it more often or you may clean it as and when you prefer when you feel the car is sluggish .


6.If it is so good why don't manufacturers install it in their car during assembly ?
Every company has their own policies and every car has a flaw which the after market industry taps to provide to you a solution to your problem. Mini turbo is one of the many solutions provided for


7. How well do you fare among other competitors and is the competitor product better or worse ?
It is our policy not to make comparisons ( unless forced to ) . Each product is made with their own market in mind and price positioning and marketing strategies are formulated according to the proprietors.


8. Does it void a warranty?
We cannot tell you if it does or does not as we do not have rights over the variety of warranties available when you purchase your vehicle. It is a plug and play device which can easily be removed.


9. Can i install more than one ?
It depends on the vehicle cc . For a myvi 1 unit is more than sufficient. For Perdana V6 need 2 units to feel the improvement.


10. Can I transfer it to another car if I sell my car ?
Yes , you can do so as it is plug and play .


11. How about fuel savings since it is a performance item ?
Fuel savings has varied results due to engine condition. Usually customers will call to have their unit serviced / cleaning cos they notice a drop in fuel savings. Our stock engines are underpowered so installing mini turbo optimizes your engine combustion hence the benefits of fuel savings are there. Again , fuel savings have varied results for every user due to driving style , engine condition , etc etc...


12. People say items like this has short term effect only .
For mini turbo we rarely get comments like these , from experience this boils down to maintaining the product . Anything that has an air intake has to be cleaned , a clogged up filter will leave it redundant and hence a person would feel the lose in benefits from the product they purchase. Our customers can tell when the lose FC benefits and come back to us to have it cleaned. Problem solved. Ia terbahagi kepada empat; masing-masingnya dikenali sebagai sinus frontal, sinus maksila, sinus etmoid dan sinus sfenoid.

Fungsi sebenar sinus tidak diketahui dengan tepat tetapi ada antara teori mengatakan sinus berfungsi meringankan tengkorak selain turut memainkan peranan dalam degungan suara.

``Biasanya lendir dihasilkan oleh rongga-rongga ini pada setiap masa dan disalirkan ke dalam hidung.

``Jika saluran daripada sinus ini tersumbat, lendir akan terkumpul dan rongga sinus menjadi tempat pembiakan yang baik bagi kuman bakteria,'' katanya.

Dr. Amir Izwan yang juga pakar bedah kepala dan leher berkata, bengkakan di dalam lapisan hidung juga boleh menyebabkan salur sinus ini tersumbat.

Salah satu punca utama bengkakan dalam hidung ini ialah radang hidung disebabkan oleh alahan (rhinitis) yang agak berleluasa dalam masyarakat kita.

Mengulas lanjut, resdung boleh juga terjadi disebabkan oleh rerambut halus silia di dalam sinus yang sepatutnya membantu pengaliran mukus, gagal menyempurnakan tugasnya.

Aktiviti menyelam ataupun berenang merupakan antara beberapa faktor yang boleh meningkatkan risiko resdung selain asap rokok yang dikenal pasti sebagai pencetus radang hidung.

Oleh itu, adalah sangat penting `mengharamkan' tabiat merokok di dalam persekitaran rumah mahupun kenderaan pesakit resdung, sekali gus mengelakkan tempat-tempat yang seumpamanya.

Katanya, apabila gejala resdung berlaku dalam tempoh beberapa hari hingga beberapa minggu, ia diklasifikasikan sebagai akut.

Resdung akut kadangkala adalah penyebab demam, terutamanya yang berlanjutan lebih daripada tujuh hingga 10 hari.

``Asalnya, virus-virus yang menyebabkan selesema biasa, menyerang lapisan dalam hidung dan sinus menyebabkan bengkak dan menyempit.

``Badan juga bertindak balas terhadap virus dengan menghasilkan lebih banyak mukus. Ini menyebabkan hidung tersumbat dan nanah terkumpul di dalam sinus yang bengkak,'' kata Dr. Amir Izwan.

Demam yang mula kebah tetapi kemudiannya bertukar melarat menjadi sebahagian tanda-tanda resdung akut.

Di samping itu, kesakitan di dalam bahagian dahi yang timbul semasa anda mencondongkan badan ke depan seperti waktu sujud juga boleh menjadi petanda.

Ditanya bagaimanakah caranya untuk membezakan di antara resdung, demam selesema biasa dan alahan hidung memandangkan ketiga-tiganya mempunyai gejala yang saling bertindihan, Dr. Amir Izwan menjelaskan:

``Jika pesakit demam dan mempunyai gejala berkaitan hidung seperti sakit muka dan hidung, keluar nanah berwarna kuning atau hijau daripada hidung atau kahak warna sama pada sebelah pagi, itu resdung.

``Apabila gejala-gejalanya berlaku lebih kerap ataupun jangkitan berpanjangan lebih daripada tiga bulan, resdung akut boleh menjadi kronik.

``Gejalanya mungkin tidak seteruk resdung akut namun, jika tidak dirawat boleh menyebabkan kerosakan kepada sinus dan tulang pipi sehingga memerlukan pembedahan,'' katanya.

Walaupun resdung tidak boleh menjadi kanser sehingga menyebabkan hidung rompong tetapi sebaliknya kanser boleh memperlihatkan gejala-gejala seperti penyakit itu.

Sekiranya dibiarkan tanpa rawatan, resdung boleh mengakibatkan maut tidak langsung yang disebabkan oleh komplikasi pada otak pesakit.

Serangan resdung berulang-ulang juga boleh berlaku. Pesakit selalunya diberikan rawatan antibiotik untuk menyembuhkannya tetapi penyakit datang semula sebulan dua kemudian.

Puncanya mungkin disebabkan oleh faktor penyebab penyakit ini yang tidak dirawat sepenuhnya, lazimnya susunan tulang dalaman sinus yang tidak normal dan sempit. Dalam kes-kes begini, pembedahan endoskopi dilakukan.

Sekiranya gejala resdung masih berterusan, kaedah baru ini akan dilakukan di mana rongga-rongga sinus terlibat akan dibuka menggunakan alat-alat khas di bawah penglihatan kamera skop.

Pembedahan sinus endoskopi ini sama sekali tidak memerlukan belahan pada kulit kerana segala prosedurnya dilakukan di dalam rongga hidung.

Ini berbeza dari kaedah lama pembedahan di mana belahan terpaksa dibuat di sekeliling kawasan hidung.

Pun begitu, gejala alahan hidung masih boleh terjadi selepas pembedahan dan hanya dapat dikawal melalui penggunaan ubat-ubatan.

``Justeru, adalah sangat penting bagi para pesakit untuk mengekalkan pengambilan ubat-ubatan antialahan selepas pembedahan,'' kata Dr. Amir Izwan.

Tambahnya, cara terbaik untuk mencegah serangan resdung ialah dengan merawat gejala-gejala hidung dengan segera sebelum ia melarat.

Gejala resdung:

* Hidung tersumbat

* Lendir daripada hidung dan tekak

* Muka berasa sakit dan berat terutamanya pada bahagian antara mata

* Sakit tekak berpanjangan dan berulang-ulang

* Demam atau rasa tidak sedap badan yang berpanjangan akibat gejala di atas

* Gejala alahan hidung seperti bersin, gatal hidung dan sebagainya.

Punca resdung:

* Susunan tulang dalaman hidung yang sempit

* Hidung bengkok

* Mandi dan terjun di dalam air yang kotor

* Jangkitan gigi atas

* Ketumbuhan di dalam hidung

* Objek dimasukkan ke dalam hidung, contohnya putik kapas, maik dan kertas

* Tisu belakang hidung yang bengkak terutamanya kanak-kanak.

Komplikasi resdung:

* Jangkitan nanah di sekeliling kawasan mata

* Jangkitan otak (meningitis)

* Sakit tekak yang kronik

* Jangkitan tulang muka

* Memburukkan keadaan lelah

* Berdengkur yang kronik

* Jangkitan telinga dan tonsil, terutamanya kanak-kanak

* Alahan hidung atau hidung sensitif

* Selesema biasa yang melarat.

Diagnosis:

* Skop hidung untuk melihat punca resdung

* Skan CT hidung dan sinus untuk melihat rongga-rongga yang terlibat dan kawasan putih menandakan lendir atau dipenuhi nanah

Rawatan:

Berdasarkan gejala pesakit dan hasil diagnosis, rawatan bersesuaian akan disyorkan.

* Antibiotik (10 hingga 14 hari bagi resdung akut)

* Ubat selesema

* Dekongestan; ubat titis atau semburan hidung

* Pembedahan hanya akan dipertimbangkan setelah rawatan-rawatan lain tidak berkesan ataupun jika ada sesuatu yang menghalang sinus dan ia tidak dapat disembuhkan dengan ubat-ubatan.

Tip menguruskan resdung:

* Bagi pesakit yang mempunyai alahan hidung disarankan agar tidak menyapu rumah tetapi menggunakan vakum atau mop

* Elakkan makanan yang boleh menyebabkan alahan

Setiap individu alah kepada makanan yang berlainan terutamanya ramai orang yang tidak boleh memakan makanan laut yang kaya protein atau belacan

* Banyakkan berehat. Berbaringlah menggunakan bahagian badan yang membuatkan anda bernafas dengan lebih baik kerana ia berupaya melegakan resdung

* Hirup sup atau cecair yang panas dan minum banyak air

* Lap muka anda dengan menggunakan tuala yang dibasahkan dengan air suam ataupun melakukan pernafasan wap

* Jangan menggunakan semburan hidung dekongestan lebih dari tujuh hari. Jika tidak, bengkak di dalam sinus akan menjadi lebih teruk selepas anda memberhentikan penggunaannya

* Bilas saluran sinus menggunakan larutan salina yang boleh didapati di farmasi

* Anda juga boleh menggunakan ubat-ubatan seperti acetaminophen dan parasetamol untuk merawat kesakitan

* Berbincanglah dengan doktor anda sebelum mengambil ubat demam kerana sesetengahnya boleh memburukkan gejala resdung ataupun menimbulkan lain-lain masalah.

Menurut kajian terbaru yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal perubatan keluarga The Annals, sebenarnya ramai orang yang sensitif dengan bauan yang menusuk hidung dan tertekan kerananya.

"Tahap kimia yang rendah menjadikan ramai orang berasa sensitif dengan bauan yang bukan berasaskan semula jadi," kata pensyarah di Pusat Sains Kesihatan, Universiti Texas, Amerika Syarikat, Prof. Dr. David Katerndhal.

Sementara itu, menurut data Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) pengeluaran kimia di seluruh dunia meningkat hingga empat peratus setahun.

"Dianggarkan dua peratus manusia menderita gara-gara bauan yang terhasil daripada kimia pewangi. Menurut pemerhatian saya, seramai 10 peratus daripada 400 responden dewasa tertekan dengan bauan yang terhasil daripada bahan pewangi kimia.

"Dalam kes yang lebih berat, selain mengalami tekanan, mereka juga cenderung untuk mendapat gangguan lain seperti bronkitis, asma, radang paru-paru, resdung, hipertiroid dan migrain.

"Begitupun, sehingga kini, penyelidik masih lagi belum mengenal pasti kelompok kimia manakah yang paling kerap mengganggu keselesaan orang ramai.

"Sebagai pengguna, jika anda berasa tidak selesa dengan bau pewangi di sekitar anda, segeralah beredar untuk menyedut udara yang lebih menyegarkan," katanya.

EKSTRA: Kandungan nikotin dalam rokok sememangnya boleh memberi kesan tenang kepada penghisapnya. Ketika rokok dihisap, nikotin bekerja seolah-oleh memberikan rasa relaks dan nyaman. Tidak hairanlah ramai yang menyimpan keinginan untuk sentiasa merokok.

Namun, tahukah anda, kebiasaan merokok sehingga 20 batang rokok sehari boleh memberi risiko pendarahan otak sehingga tiga kali ganda kepada perokok?

Menurut satu kajian di Korea Selatan, penyelidikan terhadap 426 kes pendarahan otak antara tahun 2002 hingga 2004, majoritinya berpunca daripada tabiat merokok.
