NEW DELHI: India melancarkan komputer tablet termurah di dunia semalam, berharga AS$35 (RM111) diberi nama Aakash yang bermakna ‘langit’.

Sebanyak 100,000 unit pertama diberikan percuma kepada pelajar sebelum ia dijual kepada umum dalam tempoh beberapa bulan lagi.

Mengambil masa dua tahun untuk dibangunkan, Aakash dipasang di India bagi membantu hasrat kerajaan membangunkan teknologi maklumat dalam pendidikan negara itu.
