What is SQ?
There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which
encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the
ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the
original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such
as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,
transient response, and the list goes on and on. SQ is a combination of
all these technical factors as well as proper speaker placement and
proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it
generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical
realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a
live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the
audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get
this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful
system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

ah leap, ni macam mau compare BMW 3 series dan 7 series. D2 mmg lebih mantap sebab dia support 4 way active, kebolehan buat tuning lebih flexible, bunyi lebih cantik kalau tune baik baik, kekurangannya hanya tak boleh main MP3 dan CD sangat panas apabila eject dari player selepas main, dan price dia double P80. P80 lebih murah tapi support 3 way saja, bunyi pun cantik tapi org kata midrange dia rasa synthetic dan bass kurang sikit.

finalazy, untuk main active, dari HU--> amp --> speaker, untuk cross tweeter, u need to cross at 3.15kHz to be on the safe side. kalau ko cross lebih rendah dari tu, ada risk tweeter akan terbakar. it oso depends on the tweeter la, macam morel supremo according to instruction, minimum crossover point is 2.2kHz @ 12dB. usually we cross a bit higher than recommended to be safe. while in competition, ppl usually cross lower till 2k, but onli for competition la, other days will be higher than recommended.
yg ko cakap wiring macam active tu, contohnya Alpine F1 7990 atau Nakamichi CD700, dia tiada apa2 fuction langsung, puredeck dengan 3 pre out. kalao wiring active, tu amp mesti ada crossover built in la, dan mesti sampai 5kHz untuk amp tweeter. dan kalau mau EQ, mesti tambah satu unit external EQ lagi la. mau buat tuning lebih susah la.

owh...paham suda skrg.so yg penting supaya 2 tweeter main bunyi dlm range yg ngam la...u mean amp yg bleh filter high pass or low pass 2 ka?

yea. amp yg ada filter/crossover la, macam helix A series or P series, audio system twister, rainbow iPaul. audison LRx or VRx pun ada, banyak la, ada yg boleh buat bandpass lagi, meaning LPF dan HPF guna sama sama utk satu channel, ni untuk midrange la, cth 500-4500Hz. tapi problem tu susah mau tune ba, sebab kalao tulis HPF 15Hz-5kHz, u mau pusing sampai mana baru dapat 3kHz? bukan di tengah oh, bakar nanti, mesti guna peralatan untuk check, i forgot how la.

Ooh..ic...bro, if U've 3way Active HU, N got 3way mid speaker N 1 Subs..How u coordinate diz connection..da 1st priority? either 3way speaker or woofer?? hope u know wat i'm tryin 2 say..eheh

we call this semi active or 2.5way + sub. place the tweeter and midrange as close as possible. using a passive crossover for them or cross at the amp if can. the midbass and sub stay the same like normal active setup.

P/S: the 3 way mid u talking abt is component or coaxials?

U mean, cross da tweeter and midrange for 1 active?? 1-mid bass and 1-Sub..isn't it??
why don't use 1 active - tweeter , 1 - mid range N cross at da midbass N subs?? can ka?? U've da diagram bro...?

yea dats i meant. if midbass and sub use1 rca, u will lose the ability for crossover, time alignment and phase control, cos u can't put the midbass and sub together right? while on the other hand, tweet and mid can be placed together. so u can do time alignment there. here u lose onli crossover function. no diagram, we can meet next time and i can explain better. sometimes very hard to explain online.

maybe u can show me the link for the speakers and amp and price too if u dun mind? if get the PRS series will be gud. lower than that i not sure. HU like u said seems alright. if got budget, ge carrozeria X la, haha. can help me bring HU from japan ka?

mm..bukan bunyi noise.maksud aku bunyi hizzy tu macam pitching tweeter utk soundstream punya component tinggi.aku ada alpine E series 6x9 punya speaker.from ur point of view la kan,patut ka aku replace component soundstream tu pg alpine 6x9 tu?(oval speaker).

haha..aku dulu start dr chicken brand juga.tp upgrade sket2la since aku mmg gila sound system utk rumah dan pc.so terbawa bawa pg kereta.b4 ni aku banyak invest pg enginela,since suda rasa buring dan membazir minyak main tekan2 tu pedal,better invest pg yg berbaloi.

aku rewiring balik kereta aku,bogelkan semua.buat soundproof di pintu(pakai tu mbq punya soundproof-kualiti baik dan murah!)power cable lay out dr batt pg amp pki 4g punya cable,tu monster cable pki 16g.mmg parai jugala duit,tp aku mmg satisfy dgn workmanship tmpt aku rewiring kereta aku.(bekas pekerja autosound,mmg pakar klu setup p80rs,p7650,imprint system,ODR and etc).

so far dlm bunyi kabin mmg aku puas hati sudala,clarity,pure la klu dgr dr telinga aku slps pki morel tempo ni,klu aku compare dgn rainbow dlx punya component,kira okla juga psl rainbow dlx ni kira macam mid end punya component suda aku rasa( yakah bro ck?)apa2 pun,mmg different org,different la dia dia punya taste kan.
sama juga klu compare tu Marantz punya home theater system banding dgn sony mu.te.ki punya home theater.

kalau pendapat aku, dari segi SQ, tak payah pakai rear langsung, tapi kalau mau tengok dvd dan ada surround, terpaksalah sacrifice sikit. i last time pun pernah cuba front and rear component, tapi susah nak balance dan kacau soundstage depan saja. yg hizzy yg ko cakap tu, panggil 'bright', bila tweeter terlalu tajam macam mencucuk telinga. kan aku kata soundstream baru sux, hahaha. rainbow dlx entry lvl brand itu, all series below profi and vanadium are entry lvl, then sampai mid end profi and vanadium then hi end platinum and reference series. tapi harga memang terlalu kaw la. haha. btw, kawan aku di sarawak ada guna amp Marantz, untuk kereta punya, tak dari mana dia dapat tu. oh ya, mana ko install ur system tu? mau pergi tengok tengok.

aku mmg tak ok sama rear speaker, haha, u can put if u wan la, kan itu system ko, haha. but how often u watch movie in the car while u have a gud home theater?
amp marantz dia tu tak tau dia dapat dari mana. mmg old skool untuk kereta punya. u cari di ampguts la. soundeast di putatan? jauh oh, aku jarang sampai putatan, paling paling airport saja. i tinggal dekat 1B. next time kita boleh meet dan ko bawa aku pergi tengok la.
