What is SQ?

There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,transient response, and the list goes on and on.
SQ is a combination of all these technical factors as well as proper
speaker placement and proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

dulu pernah plan juga tu YRV engine ataupun yg lebih extreme 3SZ-VET..but now, i think better to chg car if given the choice..priorities to look for are excellent low NVH, high amperage alternator, hard solid chassis, large rear boot and large A-pillars..hehe all also biased towards ICE performance, lesser headache for ice...

btw, back to tuning dilemmas....how to tackle beaming issues especially the right side mid speaker which is extreme off-axis? preferably to tune without modding angle for the mid speaker on the doors..

hehe, it is either u just accept how it is, or change to a better mids that can do well even off axis especially the mid section, play 3 way, find the best xover point that the mid can still play nicely (usually lower) or modding angle. usually for 2 way, higher xover point gives u cleaner n sweet higher xtention.just like a 3 way does. but the prob is, either ur mids can do well at the midrange area or not.playing to much on a single driver might cause blurry n muddy sound.

better change to 3way la...haha

as for the car selection...go for VW 1.4L engine wif superb output, solid chasis lagi

3way mmg ready suda tu for my plan of getting my 5.25" midrange driver modded on the dashboard in future...but still, i dunno if that plan is a wise choice or not, not much ppl pasang 5"+ midrange on dash/pillars, could not get much info..

Focal KRX3 apa macam?? is it a good choice?? hehe, cos almost everytime i visit my installer, he sure ask me when want to pasang the KRX3..no chance to test KRX3, but ever listened to his K3P(previous generation) b4 paired with Steg K series amp, sound is smooth and warm..very surprising, no harsh issues at all, just wow..

Taaron installer ko d mana? Haiyaa kalau off axis korang pakai saja bah amp power besar selesai ceta...kalau mid bass korang tia mo menyanyi antam 200 RMS punya amp, kalau tweeter off axis tia brapa dengar antam 200 RMS...menari trus tu...selesai masalah....

if u ask me 'what is ur nex car' it would be the honda jazz..i've done research to suite my driving style and ice stuff within that car hehe...tia mau yg ada bonet udah hehe

final is right, 3 way is the best solution..? i have no problem with midbass, or maybe there will be a problem someday when i become a pro hehe...the onli thing bothered me is the position of tweeter / midrange..wrongly placed, the the whole sys sounds s**t..right now im revampig my pillar according to my spec, dulu2 main agak2 ikut installer punya suka ja..will let u guys hear the result later..suda buat pre-listening 2x masa modified, nanti sebelum balut mau test sekali lagi..

rudy, if honda jazz is ur next car, try consider peugeot 308 turbo. solid and powerful, spacious too.

baru balik ruma ka CK? hehe someone got poisoned sama turbo suda...haha Golf TSI la.baru syok...hehe sama juga kena travel all the way to KK klau mau service.

no la, mo tidur sdh. golf nice tapi rm160k leh. for c segment car. 120k dapat 308t sudah.

huhu...pakai kereta jepun ja la...crz final? lawa juga, tp macam mahal ja tu, lgpun hybrid bah, takut ja efek performance karen kalau pasang sound2 ni...bole tahan juga harga tu ck a...kalau kaya macam ck cakap tu, aku mau mini cooper s la huhu..syok bah kan keta2 kecil, macam skrg aku suka lg bwa kelisa ku dari kereta skrg, snang parking, save minyak lg, manual lg hoho..

haha...suda ku tengok tu bulan lepas boi...hampir lg mau bli, tp fikir nanti mau perlu mcm2 lg, portable amp la...hehe cukupla dulu akg ku yg murah skrg ni (yg ni pun rasa kalau di hp nda sedap, di laptop baru la, na apa lg kalau yg high end sikit...mau juga pakai amp baru keluar soundnya. kalau headphone ku dulu2 sony yg ex monitor in ear teda beza kalau di hp sama di laptop)...skrg memang dgr headphone ja spanjang masa haha..sgt memuaskan..worth the time spent listening to the music nice...pinjam headphone mu seminggu boi hehehe

ahahah.. angkat portable amp la.. tapi tu k701 hard to drive.. jadi lebih pada personal preference.. tapi besa la orang sabah. bab2 beli barang memang selalu maen gamble.. mana dapat test. hahahaa..
