AKTOR Hollywood Patrick Swayze, 57, meninggal dunia hari ini selepas bertarung dengan penyakit kanser sejak tahun lepas.

Swayze didiagnosis mengalami kanser pankreas pada bulan Januari 2008.

Menurut laporan beliau meninggal dunia di sisi keluarganya.Patrick Swayze Meninggal Dunia Patrick_walkBeliau tergolong dalam senarai selebriti terhebat di Hollywood. Namanya juga diukir di Hollywood Walk of Fame, Los Angeles. foto-AP




Beliau dilahirkan di Houston pada tahun 1952, anak sulung kepada Jesse Swayze dan koreografer Patsy Swayze.

Swayze berkahwin dengan Lisa Neimi sejak dari tahun 1975. Perkahwinan mereka kekal hingga ke hari ini.

Mereka telah berkenalan sejak Patrick berusia 19 tahun dan Lisa ketika itu baru berusia 15 tahun.

Selain seorang penari yang hebat Lisa memiliki lesen sebagai juruterbang.

Patrick Swayze terkenal dengan filem seperti 'Ghost', 'Dirty Dancing', dan 'Road House'.

Filem 'Ghost' merupakan filem terhebat lakonannya. Ia turut dibintanginya oleh aktres Demi Moore dan Whoopi Goldberg.

Oleh kerana filem 'Ghost' sangat popular pada awal tahun 90an, lagu-lagu hip hop masa kini sering menyelitkan lirik 'I'm Syawze' yang membawa maksud 'Saya adalah hantu' ataupun lebih tepat lagi 'Saya sudah mati'.

Pada tahun 1991 beliau digelar sebagai 'Lelaki Paling Seksi di Dunia' oleh Majalah People.
