Hello everyone.

I have a P2 Kancil 660EX Year 2004 and wish to convert from manual to automatic transmission without changing the engine.

Anybody got any suggestion how to do this?

1. find an automatic gbox (of coz complete with the lever, flywheel n torque converter..)
2. dump the manual box
3. fit in the auto box...

r u seriously asking for suggestion how to do that?

Actually, what I really need to know is what are the parts involve in doing so.
I heard that even the radiator need to be modified.
How about the pricing?

I already checked here in Sandakan, a used parts dealer would do this for RM1400 complete but excluding the pedal (use back the original pedal with clutch).

Who had done this please assist.

Auto gearbox often needs gbox oil cooler maybe that's what they meant by the radiator mod..about the pricing, i know changing clutchplate/gbox on my ke70 is easier than on a kancil (need to hoist the engine) thus maybe raising the labor cost, try to ask around n compare the price first. Gbox from 660, 850 n even l2/l2s has the same bolthole so it can be fitted (l2s have LSD nyum2!!) browse trade/sale forums i'm sure i read somewhere someone who is willing to swap auto box for manual tranny..this way u may have all the parts needed at a bargain n letgo of ur unused pedal box etc at the same time cheers..

nice info.......suggest you to get l2s auto D4 lsd.....more up power....

to sdk,it is not adviceable for u to change 660EX from manual to auto tranny,this is because 660 EX is an underpowered engine,that's why kancil auto only available on 850 cc.I suggest u trade in ur car and get a stock auto kancil..else get L2s auto engine.


Cons:very2 hard to climb hill,use more fuel/km,need to buy things to convert frm manual to auto $$,hard to sell your car later if u wanna trade-in in future.
