SINGAPURA: Mahkamah Singapura hari ini mengenakan denda S$1,000 (S$1=RM2.40) ke atas penyanyi rock Malaysia, Mamat, kerana mencuri sebuah telefon bimbit dan seutas jam tangan.

Mamat atau nama sebenarnya Mohd Ali Kamarudin, 31, adalah bekas penyanyi kumpulan rock Exist yang popular pada tahun 1990an.

Laporan sebuah media online menyebut Mamat mengaku bersalah mencuri telefon bimbit bernilai S$580 dan sebuah jam daripada Noor Shazeel Sazali, 21, di rumahnya di Bishan di sini pada 11 Nov lepas.

Mahkamah diberitahu Noor Shazeel telah meletakkan telefon bimbit dan jam itu yang tidak diketahui nilainya di atas meja makan sebelum masuk untuk tidur petang dan mendapati barangan itu hilang apabila dia bangun lima jam kemudian.

Menurut edisi online Straits Time, Noor Shazeel kemudian diberitahu bapanya bahawa Mamat telah pergi ke rumahnya bersama seorang saudara.

Mamat berjaya dikesan di rumah teman wanitanya di sini beberapa hari kemudian[b]
