What is SQ?
There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which
encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the
ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the
original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such
as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,
transient response, and the list goes on and on. SQ is a combination of
all these technical factors as well as proper speaker placement and
proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it
generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical
realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a
live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the
audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get
this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful
system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

power, mana ada aku punya tuning kaw2, masih sedang belajar. tapi my listening taste tak sama dengan ko, maybe u muntah sama sistem aku, haha.

final, cuba ko offer 1.5k utk set tu tanpa crossover. 15W + XT25 quite a nice match. 1.3k for 15W is standard price. remember 15W mo buat sealed box la.

sya da tnya org yg slalu urus jual beli online (import).da ckp slalunya brg electronic teda kena tax.unless over 500USD dn tngok nasib juga.klo kena tax kena settle d post office bru dorg kasi kluar 2 brg la (5-10%).so no need p kastam la.baru sa perasan madisound jual per piece pula.ingat per pair...hehehe

at first when i start this thread i really thought nobody is interested. most of the forummers here are into SPL. mostly misunderstood SQ thinking dat it is a system dat can't play loud. but now, it's slowly catching up. at least my effort not put into waste, haha.

ada kesan juga tapi not so obvious. first of all crossover mesti match dulu then ur phase baru sampai TA. my sub TA set to 0.

mksud sya TA untuk mid.let say TA depan cuma beberapa centimeter sja kena adjust.so klo kira speaker paling jauh masih woofer.myb 2 mid sa set jauh sikit la TA dia kn?

technically it's correct. mo tengok juga gain matching dia. i usually tune with my ears. the sub itself oso plays a role. if not why ppl buy transparent sounding sub.

haha..TA ni susah sikit..tune2 nanti dpt sound di tengah tp sebanarnya reflection dari mana2 ntah tu..tu yg prob sikit..

oh sub aku ada tune juga..400cm haha..ni ikut dari auto ta tu, yg lain aku tune sndiri.

final, cuba ni tuk contoh..tweeter kanan (driver seat) set sedia 100, then tweeter kiri kena lagi tinggi..cari sampai balance betul di tengah..eg range antara 120-130..kalau betul nda dpt tune suda baru ko kacau tweeter kanan tu..kasi rendah sikit sampai balance.

tp sebenarnya tune mid dulu baru tweeter..tp aku try explain tweeter ja la sbb penting n sama ja konsepnya.

kalau sudah, test dia, baru fine tune lagi..then test tuk beberapa hari pakai berjenis2 lagu..pastikan kebanyakan lagu tu suara di tengah (memang ada lagu yg akan lari TA, jgn risau, biasa la tu) .tapi bukan semua sound di tengah aa, tu macam sound mono suda tu, bunyi nda natural n macam tersumbat..so, pastikan musical instruments lain masih kedengaran dengan seimbang dari kedua2 tweeter, cuma suara ja di tengah..

kdg2 kalau set telampau tinggi TA di sebelah, (contoh.. tweeter kiri 160, tweeter kanan 100) sound yang di kiri tu pandai jadi kuat, so nda seimbang suda sama tweeter kanan ko..

--kalau ko suda tune TA, last challenge is tune TA pakai CD tag mcLaren track no.9 , pastikan first drum stroke n rolling tu ada 'terasa' sikit dari kiri ke kanan..bukan dari tengah ke kanan n yg paling teruk kanan ke kanan haha..--

(sifu aku suruh pasang baby cap tuk HU for more stable TA..)

aku pun masih lagi practice for the perfect TA..gud luck

i find it is dificult to tune the TA.hehe cos if set the left speaker (furthers speakr) to about 50CM and the right one (nearest) about 60-80CM i'll b getting a same result wif 150CM left and 180CM right.myb 250 and 280 also sound right.(the music on the steering wheel).but i forgot the sub sub paling jauh actly.but bcos it plays low it is not tat noticeable.

i'll try to experiment it later.

tweeter macam mna adjust TA?same wif the mid?or the mids shud have more delay than the tweet?or watever sounds good wif us?hehe

haha...eh terbalik suda ko tu..nearest speaker will be less cm....ya memang g2, 60cm maybe akan sama macam sound 150cm nanti..then cuba ni..set 0cm semua..then try tekan kasi naik delay tu berterusan, ada rasa bunyi dari bawah ke atas?then dia akan berulang lagi tu, dari bawah ke atas..cari yang match betul2 ngan semua speaker..thats whay aku bagi clue start dari 100cm tuk tweeter driver seat..satu lagi, tp ni bukan technical la n memang contradict ngan technical TA measurement.. tp ni pasal feel n ramai org yg suda ckp..tuk vocal tu, macam ada penyanyi sedang menyanyi jauh di depan..kalau telampau banyak cm nanti telampau jauh..kalau telampau sikit cm suara macam btl2 dekat ngan kita, so nda real la.

ya, sudah semestinya mid bass lagi jauh dari tweeter give u the clue..if ur right tweeter starts from 100cm, then try ur right midbass from 115-125cm..
kereta kita nda sama, speaker placement pun lain, so aku bagi dlm range gitu la, so ko bleh adjust2..

orite...hehe lom ada tweeter so masih lom ada pngalaman...haha

dun worry too much abt the number. it doesn't help in tuning. try to tune using ur ears. without TA, ur sound focus shud be around the middle. TA is to fine tune it. when tuning TA for tweeter, mute the rest of the channel till u get centre imaging. do the same for the mid. leave the sub at 0. and try doing it onli at 1 side i.e. TA onli left speakers.
