What is SQ?
There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which
encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the
ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the
original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such
as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,
transient response, and the list goes on and on. SQ is a combination of
all these technical factors as well as proper speaker placement and
proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it
generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical
realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a
live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the
audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get
this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful
system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

ok will try it centre u mean from the steering wheel? or at the middle of the dashboard?

power, erm...thinking logically, it is better to set the sub at 0 delay cos we want to give time for the sub come infront b4 the mid rite?hehe so delay for the nearest speaker so the farthest speaker have time to arrive 2 gether wif the nearest one.

centre of the dashboard. it is quite hard to do the scene at the steering wheel cos of deflections.

dari pa yg sa bca TA ni buli kasi rosak sound stage.

TA memperbaiki sound stage tapi merosakan tonality/emotion. see wat u need la. jangan over TA boleh suda tu. like i said TA 1 side onli. if TA both side, it will make the sound much thinner.

owh...so u TA yg paling dekat dngan ko sja la?

depends on the focus before TA whether it's more to left or right. juz play around with one side onli.

i agree with ck...TA only ur left side speakers...but im suggesting both speakers start from 100..from there u can raise the TA for ur LEFT speakers..

haha about the sub..i wont do 0cm for it..this TA thing is quite subjective coz we cant see the soundwave travels, but we can feel it..there are 2 opinions about time delay, 1st..the most common sense it means to make the soundwave travels slower to our ears..2nd..to pull or to push the soundwave..the TA that i do for the sub is to pull the sound to the front..believe it or not? try to raise ur sub level with ur 0cm setting, then try blast it with SPL songs, u'll feel the boomy bass will be a bit slower than the front component speakers , thats why, even the HU's computer will calculate the TA for the sub.

yet again i agree with CK that TA will destroy ur tonality a bit, but careful and correct TA adjustment will minimize the prob..cant explain here, but u'll hear the sound difference if u were playing the drum track CD especially the snare drum...so?? balance between between TA n good sound?? yes u can achieve it.. ..ada lg mau bgtau ko, tp nantila kalau ko tanya

haha...tried doing the right one only...sblum ini both speaker more than 100cm.
one 100CM, bunyi nipis.tried doing one part only, bunyi lbih rich.masih bunyi dari tngah tpi rasa dekat la 2 bunyi.about the sub thingy i'll try experiment it...hehe

oso want to try yg ikut calculation punya.which one is better.tpi klo gain suda ngam, n properly crossed tdk rsa suda 2 sub bass dari blakang.tpi psal mid sya sngat kurang midbass skrg, sub masih rsa blakang sbab ada gap.tried cross higher tpi lagi hancur pula...haha

bila sampai ko punya new set? skrg main testing saja. tunggu tu set sampai dapatlah ko main betul2. skrg banyak gap sebab stock speaker tak dapat produce semua freq.

haha tunggu la speaker ko yg betl2, baru ko test TA balik..nda berapa pentig pun TA kalau mau d banding ngan tuning tone..tu HU mcintosh cuma ada bass treble ja, mana ada TA ni..yg pnting sound sedap di telinga kita kan.

sound nipis bkn sbb lebih 100cm tu, tapi sbb dua2 speaker di TA tdk ngam..kita mau sound yg luas tp masih di tengah.

klo ikut tlinga ngam la d tnggah knon...hehe tpi bila tngok 2 figure dn ikut logic memang nda logic. ntah la.kali klo telinga pakar baru buli detect kali. tpi myb sbab 2 speaker pnya limitation juga.klo susa2 nanti kita buat LS/TT kmu tlong sa la k...hehe

test pasang MB Qs tweeter td...aaah..natural n wide sounding, thanks to the widesphere technology, bsok pasang balik mid bass...mau compare balik ngan DLS..kalau better, pasang MB balik, DLS simpan, tdk di jual hehe..

this meant for experiment and want to seek the truth whether i can pawn those system priced higher than this setup hahah..kidding...

ck, tube amp kereta ni aku nda brapa tau sangat,kalau tube amp gitar aku tau sangat la..btl ka tube amp kereta ni kurang bass nya banding ngan amp yang biasa..ada org jual helix esprit tu di icehifi, 85x4..macam berminat (kalau jadi pakai MB la).

wah hari sabtu suma org jalan2 ka hehe

pasal tube amp guitar, i tak berapa tau pasal ni. tube amp kereta, semua hybrid, except for a few models in the world. kalau ko suka bunyi yg aggressive dan dynamic, lebih baik jgn guna tube amp. tu helix bass mmg kurang berbanding dengan solid state. but my TA2 after modding i think bass tak kurang juga. it's not bass kurang, as in low volume, it's more like less attack and rounded. some ppl like the punchy type of bass, u hardly can find dat in tube amps. but vocal is superb la. warm and smooth.

suda sa try 2 TA d sub.memang ada certain range yg akan rsa 2 sub d depan.tpi 2 depends lagu juga la...hehe

final, tu budak brabus punya genesis dual mono macam sangat menarik tu, 1300 saja. aku pun mau, tapi budget tiada sudah. u sudah bayar sama dia ka?
