What is SQ?
There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which
encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the
ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the
original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such
as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,
transient response, and the list goes on and on. SQ is a combination of
all these technical factors as well as proper speaker placement and
proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it
generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical
realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a
live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the
audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get
this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful
system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

ah leap, if u really wan to play 2.5 way + sub, best is place the tweeter and midrange as close as possible. dun use pre amp. just use Y cable will do or use the original passive crossover. can u tell me wat ur system consist of right now?

tapikan ko sudah ada amp? tu D2 buli setting pg standard bah tu....pakai itu setting dululah sementara ko upgrade pelan2....kalau standard setting ko boleh set tu depan main active tweeter ama mid...belakang punya speaker ko set jadi mid bass lepas tu low punya ko sambunglah pg sub....sementara ko mo belajar tune tu....lama tu.....nda payah bawa pg kadai...cari ja kaki2 tolong tune....c ckmoy nampak macam kaki saja tu....sakali ko sadar cukup udah duit ko mo beli scanspeak punya speaker....

tapikan....rasa2nya P80RSII pun puas ati sudah bah tu....buat apa belanja banyak2...bagus simpan duit bali tanah tanam kalapa sawit....ko ada tanahkah mau jual?

sa teda tweeter bro.masi stendet.bass tdk juga kuat.tpi memang rsa bass d blakang la.hehe sa rsa juga sbab midbass teda ckup rich kali.lgipn speker stendet kn.hehe mula2 sa kasi set speaker pintu depan High pass sja.pintu blakang teda filter.tpi rsa btul bass blakang sja.hehe last2 tdk kasi filter2 suda depan.speaker pintu blakang kasi pelahan skit.buli2 la juga.tpi 2 speaker pintu d kaki ba...hehe

macam itu..ko pg lah memburu 2nd hand punya komponen....cari2 dari kawan2 d KL kah....cari forum2...kalau beli d KK mati ohh...dorang jual mahal gila lapas tu kebanyak jual tiruan saja....

tu focal pun ok bah juga...ada sa nampak tu kedai focal ama steg sana d jalan bundusan dekat tu area CIMB punya bank....tapi nda pernah masuk....nantilah sa g tingu2 lagi....kalau 2nd hand punya focal boleh ko dpt tu dalam RM1k++.

Ko nda mau cari tu P80RSII 2nd hand? Kalau ko sabar cari2 ada baitu...minta cari tu c ck...macam dia ada banyak barang saja tu

sa ada minta CK cari focal d sna tmpat dia skrg....ada suda la.so next year ni januari ada suda la component sya kunun...hehe 2 la mnyimpan skrg ni.P80 klo mo cari 2nd ok juga tpi 2 la, kurang cash money.kdai buli ansuran...hehe kcuali sya bertahan sja la smpai tengah tahun depan...hehe

aku tolong dia beli KPS. lebih universal dan main lebih rendah, k2p mmg sesuai utk rock tapi bro kita bkn kaki rock, lol. andrew, kasi ko tau secret, aku ada scanspeak revelator 3 way (actually tweet dan midbass scanspeak, midrange alpine F#1 yg scanspeak oem) sedang tidur di rumah, haha. skrg aku bingung sama HU tu, tak tau mau ambik yg mana satu, mau kumpul budget dulu.

focal 165kps.k2p mhl suda 2 lol. ndatau la bro...dlm kepala sa yg penah dngar soundstream, mohawk, pioneer sma DLS sja...hehe start ja msuk ni forum jumpa mcm2 brand yg nda pernah dngar.hehe harap2 syok la.2 la lom buli lagi cari HU buat msa ini.

look for a sub that can play musical bass not boom boom boom.....the bass notes should be clear tight and accurate....of cos u will need a good amp that can reproduce sounds given by the HU....if u want loud and at the same time musical and can go real low i suggest u take JL Audio.....go for 13W7V3D4...u wont be sorry....or if u can go for IDMAX 12

SS 23W should be better but not so loud.....

haha, andrew, tu W7 sudah out of his budget la, his budget is abt 1k for each thing. sub i would suggest Peerless XXLS or XLS depending on the sub. SEAS Lotus oso can, ppl selling 2nd hand for less than 1k. and oso RS Audio C12 and JL Audio W6.Scanspeak i wouldn't suggest for boot sub, it's more suitable for frontal sub.
btw andrew, u seems like an expert oso eh? IDMAX pun tau. mind to share with us your system? dun tell me it's cap ayam or sistem kebun kelapa sawit, i know it's not. dun worry nobody will rob u here. btw, glad to have u onboard.

Ck : Dulu sa main Hantam (BOOM2)...used 1set JBL GT-5 Series..bila nak lyan sq ni juzt pkai mana2 benda yg bleh pkai balik..xda duit mo beli smua baru..huhuhu..dah labur abis pegi HU N Component 3Way..My system not done yet..still wait 4 a pillar stand..sementara tu skrg guna 2way..with 4Chnel+Mono..

i think i still preferd 2 use preamp..coz, my priorty is sora yg clear..so i asingkan tweter N midrange..N used Y cable for mid bass N Subs..midbass N subs hampir xda beza fungsinya kan..lagi susah kalau nak cross tweeter N mid range, when do TA,coz yg sa pham for TA is tweet,mid range N midbass..isnt it? (kalau salah tlong btul kan..eheheh)

most ppl start with hentam SPL style, i'm oso the same. then hentam hentam, skrg sudah boring. once in a while ok la, tapi everytime u enter ur car bass habis habis pun pening. pergi clubbing show off sikit sikit ok la, tapi kalau di tengah traffic jam main bass, fuh... tak tahan. i started with cap ayam oso, i got shuttle lab, fake focal, blaupunkt entry lvl amp, some pre amp, Alfine subs and the best is Lanzar 6x9". then slowly changed to Panasonic HU and Boston Acoustics SL60, baru i realize car audio can be quite nice sometimes. then start to switch to SQ, sampai skrg, mau buat 2 system. 1 passive 2 way and 1 more is active 3 way. tapi aku mau pokai sudah walaupun semua aku beli 2nd hand. tapi the SQ u get is alwez more pleasing, haha. all for the sake of this hobby.
ah leap, mesti slowly buat tuning. sebab system 2.5 way mmg susah mau tune, even sifu pun bukan semua pandai. kalao telinga kita tak cukup peka, susah mau cari kesalahan di sistem, dan akan tertipu oleh 'kemahiran' tuner tu. biasanya selepas dengar sistem lain, lebih kurang pandai catch the main aspect in a system la.

it's close enuf. but the problem is with ur wiring diagram. u said u wanna use preamp and split the low out from HU to sub and midbass? how are u going to tune? TA is for delaying the signal to correct the distance factor. ur sub is in the boot while the midbass is in front. ur staging sure rosak. the onli way for 2.5 way system is split one of the pre out to tweeter and midrange. midbass and sub confirm cannot split from preout, unless u dun use TA for the midbass and sub. just TA the tweeter and midrange, u try and see la, i not so sure if it will work.

me oso hentam bass juga dulu...tpi lama2 nanti longgar screw2 dlm kereta...haha nanti ada ambulance blakang pn ta sedar smpai kena horn...ngehehe

finalazy, lebih baik ko cari amp dulu baru sampai sub, unless u found a very gud offer la. sebab amp i think lebih mahal daripada sub. we match the sub according to which amp u have.
