What is SQ?
There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which
encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the
ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the
original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such
as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,
transient response, and the list goes on and on. SQ is a combination of
all these technical factors as well as proper speaker placement and
proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it
generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical
realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a
live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the
audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get
this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful
system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

hehehe besa 2 geng blum ko jmpa lg dsyat pnya...so bro ckmoy if sub spec is 20hz-1.5khz,600 RMS..drived by 1700 RMS Monoblock....want to set for SQ usually u use in what range or freq???..

if SQ, we must match with speaker(midbass). if ur sub is DVC, try wire it at higher impedance if ur amp can support. for 2 way front setup, usually we cross our sub at 25hZ @24dB - 80Hz @12dB, midbass from 80Hz @ 12dB or 68Hz @ 24dB. 3way can set to lower freq.

Ada sesiapa boleh memberi keterangan kepada saya maksud sebenar SQ? Apakah ciri-cirinya...keperluannya dan sebagainyala yg patut. Bukanka ia merujuk kepada SOUND QUALITY dan apakah bentuk bunyi yg dihasilkan supaya ia disebut SQ?

yes...thats true..mmg ssh mo dtrangkan kn dgr dhulu baru boleh ckp..hehehhe..yg sy tau la SQ is about nice,smooth n relaxing...smua bunyi dpt dgr dgn jelas..kira syok dgr la..xsakitkan telinga..n ko xkan boring klu dgr SQ sound ni..da mmg all about sound Quality (SQ) so bunyi kualiti jgkla..

klo amp untuk sub macam mna?shud i target monoblock atau 2 chnl?apa yg perlu d tngok specification?nanti beli2 trus nda ngam pening kpala owh...hehe i think my 4ch amp pn kena tukar juga ni...tpi nanti la.lgi pn baru juga beli...hehe

uhm Klu sy la kan tgk sub n monoblock jgk...klu pkai mono dia fully BASS system..n tgk power jd xla down power masa syok2 dgr 2, lgpun klu ckup power kualiti syok jgk..i think monoblock la but 2ch oso can but u must see at the amp spec 1st..ckup kuat tuk drive sub ko lg bgus..sub tahan amp pun than.. sbb xbuka gain kuat sgt..n be careful gain is not volume..its about sensitivity, can damge ur speaker..sayang ooooooo

yup i know...too much gain can cause cliping oso.like underpower amp...
no i mean other than power thingy...klo sa compare amp DLS dngn mohawk.klo la cover 2 amp suma kena buka so kita tatau which is which.tpi macam mna kita bleh tau dngn spec dia sja yg mna 1 lagi bgus in term of SQ.

when choosing amp for sub, kita mau control, attack and decay, precision and transparency, bukan loudness sahaja. utk newbies susah mau differentiate kebezaan. ini mesti tengok combo tu, bukan 1 of the component sahaja. yg PK12 kata kalau monoblock = full bass system tak ngam sudah tu. kedua dua amp pun ada potensi utk menghasilkan bass yg mantap. kita choose amp utk sub ikut SVC atau DVC sub. kalau SVC lebih sesuai dapatkan 2ch sebab biasanya bila bridged kita dapat lebih power daripada mono di 4ohm. DVC lebih sesuai guna monoblock kalau mau wire pergi ohm yg lebih rendah. example, aku beli amp Eton PA2802, spec dia 298w x 2 @ 4ohm, 1198w @ 4 ohm bridged. aku akan guna dia utk power JL Audio 12W6 DVC 4ohm, wire dia pergi 8ohm. amp wise, usually we prefer class AB over class D for SQ purpose. macam monoblock DLS A6 pun class AB. selain daripada kebezaan dari segi SQ, AB lebih cepat panas, class D lebih effisien, lebih lambat panas. so installation of class AB amp mesti ada ventilation yg bagus.

is it bcoz class D bnyak distortion?AB bunyi cantik?

sort of. class D more efficient but the power isn't dat clean compared to class AB. dats why not many ppl use alpine pdx amps for sq purpose.

Ehhhh....lambat udah kamuini? 4 ari udah sa tada masuk masih lagi page 5.... macam ramai sudah pula ini peminat SQ di Sabah.... ngamlaini...buli tukar2 barang....btw tu A pillar macam nanti ndada angling problemkaitu? Apa brand tu mid n tweeter? mau kena tau on axis and off axis respond dia....kasih cross ngam2 pg driver kalau mau on axis....tapi nanti penumpang nda kesiukanlah...tapi apa boleh buat....kalau off axis respond tu tweeter nda bagus...kena make up 4 the loss lah...

yg penting siapa kluar duit beli suma 2 mesti dia dpt first priority bah...haha

ni si andrew masih tak mau share sama kita system dia tu. haha.
main sq mmg driver gets the priority. very hard to get equally gud sq on both side. afterall bini pun tak peduli sq atau tidak. asal jgn terlalu bass saja. lol. main sq kan bagus, semua org pun ngam, nenek pun tiada complain.

setakat ni banyak udah sumandak sa bawa jalan2 dengar lagu di kereta sa....ndada yg pernah marah sa pasang kuat2....paling2 pun soma tia mo turun dari kereta....ada yang bising kalau sa pasang lagu slow...so pasanglah yg latup2...tapi ada yg tia suka latup2 so pasanglah yg slow2...macam itulah...kalau bass ni kan...ngam ambil yg SQL punya macam JL...kalau korang udah tua sangat....ambil tu pure sq punya sub macam tu SS 23W....atau kalau korang mau pasang dua HU and dua sub dalam kereta....kekekeke...........lari udah ni dari KISS concept....

2 ertinya sumandak ko suma masih berjiwa muda...hehe
klo sa 2 kena kasi slow 2...tpi 2 pn psal susa mo becrita ba...hehe
lgipn klo speaker masi stendet memang la masi bidak kn bunyinya...ngehehe

kamu punya 'bahasa sabah' sangat kaw. org lain negeri sure tak faham.
lagu slow bagus, boleh kurang stress sikit, jiwang2 sikit di kereta. once in a while i dengar lagu hip hop to spice up my life, haha.

Hehehehe....kaw lagitu......biarlah dorang tia paham yg penting kita pahamkan.....dengar semua jenis lagu syok baitu.....mau bawa kawan terutamanya sumandak jalan2 pun mau kena tingu jenis dia juga...jadi semua jenis lagu kena ready dalam kereta....tapi slalu pun kawan2 sa tu bukan juga jenis SQ punya...dorang suka dangar tu bunyi bass aja kuat2....jadi ada system SQ dalam kereta pun bukan kena puji sedangkan udah belanja puluhan ribu....bass juga dorang mau....yg bagagar jantung dorang bilang........kecewa sa...

SQ ni mmg utk sendiri dengar saja, SPL la utk sekampung. asalkan aku happy sudah cukup la. kebanyakan org fikir car audio = boom boom(SPL). banyak tak tau ada setup SQ. utk newbies susah mau faham apa maksudnya SQ, 90% tak dapat bezakan antara sistem yg bagus dan cap ayam, asal ada bunyi cukup. kalau tu, cakap SQ sama mereka pun membazir masa saja.
