What is SQ?
There's a misunderstanding that SQ(Sound Quality) is a system that can't play loud. Stock system also can't play loud but that's far from a real SQ system. So what is Sound Quality? SQ is that aspect of a sound system, which
encompasses all of the performance factors which give the system the
ability to re-produce an accurate and life-like rendition of the
original recording as perfectly as possible. It includes factors such
as tonality, ambience, subtle nuance, system gain structure, dynamics,
transient response, and the list goes on and on. SQ is a combination of
all these technical factors as well as proper speaker placement and
proper system design. When a system is said to have perfect SQ, it
generates the most accurate sound possible, with a sense of musical
realism that gives the listener the impression that they "hear" a
live performance right in front of them, as if the listener was in the
audience watching the actual performers on an actual stage. Now, to get
this realistic musical "sound stage" in a car, it takes careful
system planning, speaker placement, and tuning.

patutla ko tak minat sama scanspeak, haha. sudah sampai tahap rainbow reference. but the way u play is if u have dat much extra cash in hand and no commitment. i am quite concious with money spending, so i think it's no problem for me to gigit jari unless like i said lots of spare cash at hand. in fact i bitten lots of finger d, haha. doctor no time to play ICE. if play mmg high punya la.

And that prove my point....since you are already in this addiction...you gotta find a new hobby to stop it....if not....it will prove my point again...

andrew, since u had 20 yrs of experience mind to share some experience on cables? which cable had u tried before? wat do u think bout Van Den Hul The Bridge and QED XT300? plan to get The Bridge for mid and tweet and XT300 for midbass.

Hahaha....Ck...not 20 yearslah...im now 25....since I played ICE from 10 so it is 15 years.... our brother here Renier got 20 years experience....you should refer to him....if u ask me.....with just 15 years I can just say I play MP3....so as for the cable just use any cables u can get in the shopslah...

VDH???? What cables is that? VDH also got bridgekah? Never heard of VDH before...And what is QED? It must be a cable only for the rich...as of me im just using the cables that come with the car....you may say factory or stock cables....Since you been using VDH perhaps you can tell and share more...I would liike to know too...as yahooing gave me no hits... asked my friend they also dunno

sa sokong cara planing c andrew 2.kalau balik2 upgrade memang kluar lebih besar blnja.tapi tdk la mksudnya terus kumpul 1 kali 20-30K trus kasi complete 1 whole set.

tpi brg2 tu biarla smpai limit budget kita la.we hve our own planing juga.sa pn kasi limit juga actly.sa tdk la main sedahsyat kmu.n dont think m going 2 change the HU after few years.by the time kali hobi lain suda.actly mau juga main 3 way tpi itu budget sngat besar.i know my limit.so tak boleh lebih 2 limit la.m not going to buy each item more than 2.5Kitu max.n try 2 avoid.paling pn 2K.tu la sa set bli comp set arga 2.lgipun budget bukn tuk ICE sja.ada for other things oso.

Tadalah....sa cuma bagi cadangan bah tu finalazy...n cadangan sa tu lebih kepada suruh ko buat kful planning n bersabar...itu ja...pasal start ICE dari umur 10 tahun tu....urg potong getah d mana2 pun manalah ada chance macam tu....ais yg betul2 pun susah mau dpt...

Kalau ko sudah plan mo ambil tu MP7...teruskan...then simpan lagi untuk yg seterusnya...cuma sa ckp berdasarkan pengalaman...jgn silap plan...sebab biasanya kalau x puas kita akan upgrade lagi...akhirnya secara jangka panjang belanja kita lebih besar daripada yang mulanya kita rancang....

Sa faham pasal duit kalau jadi sigu ni...banyak kawan2 sa pun sigu juga....utang sana sini...mo juga main ICE...hehehehe............sebab tu mesti mo kful planning sebelum menyesal....

Setau sa ni MP7 adalah variant tu Scanspeaks...cuma kena mods untuk sesuai dengan kereta oleh tu company....so, scanspeaks or MP7...is up to u to choose...both ways you wont be sorry....

and one more thing....to avoid getting poison...dont go and audit any Sifu's car (CK pun sifu juga bah) angkat kaki lu.......kalau setup dia kaw2....then you will have a problem....

Anyway, there is nothing in my setup to share with u guys...Im using Sony.... powering it with built in amp from the HU....my drivers are passive but running 3 ways.....no subs and no rear....my speakers cables are stocks and I dont have a RCA....cheap cheap stuffs.......but I know a lots about ICE cos I read a lots and audit a lots in the past....

wah...dngn macam 2 sja bleh dpt sound yg menarik...memang hebat la ko andrew.itu touch yg mhl 2.tdk buli beli.honestly, sya tdk tau apa macam bunyi 2 scanspeak yg btul2 depan mata.so I cannot make decision.n tats y juga sya tnya kmu.sa ni masih newbie bah.brand2 suma sa tdk tau.klo bca review pun susah juga sbab they comparing 2 other which I'm not familiar wif.huhu

yalo nasib la skrg CC n kereta sja.2 la mo plan wise for my own future.not only for ICE...hehe 2 la sa pn brsbar juga ni skrg.kasi cukup budget dlu.bru langkah 1 step.ko ni andrew asyik2 ckp mo lwan kreta sifu...hehe ta lama lgi complete brg2 hi end dia 2 memang tngal share the music sja la...hehe tpi lgu ni kn sngat abstrak bah.lain org lain minat.so doesnt mean u need 50K system to feel the satisfaction.

tu MP7 mmg OEM scanspeak, tapi i think onli the mid is 18W, yg tweeter i think it's MP sendiri design. actually scanspeak is made for home audio, somehow it's not so suitable for car as the enviroment is harsh compared to home. and most of it needs enclosure i.e. smaller volume. dats why i suggest MP7 over scanspeak cos of the price difference and MP is equally gud. right now final, a 10k system would satisfy u for a long time, until ur ear start to 'upgrade'. then u will feel it's not enuf. dat is the common disease for ICErs. at least u have a gud base to learn tuning. until u master the tuning of ur system, i believe u won't upgrade anymore.

andrew, the above 2 points are contradicting. sorry but i gotta be straightforward, no hard feelings, just curious. i dunno wat are u trying to prove by playing dumb. of cos u have ur privacy for not disclosing ur system and i respect dat but at least do it in a proper manner, the way u r doing it trying to make me look stupid and i believe all of us here aren't stupid. no SQ players in this world is dat serious like u by just reading and not owning any nice system before. SQ interest dun come on its own, it's all thru the passion and passion comes from listening and owning some nice stuffs.come on, i mean we have been chatting for quite some time, can oso be considered as frens, and i believe there shud be honesty in this forum. we all dun have any interest conflict or watsoever thus i dun see any problem with sharing.

scnspeak 15w revelator audiocreation kasi rm1400. 1 year old. wat do u think?

itu mid saja. mau lagi tweeter, it will be more expensive than MP7 in total. 1400 i think can get 18W rather than 15W. krayden from icehifi is selling at 1400 for the 18W. MP7 got passives in case u need it, scanspeak cost more and no passives. if u realli wan scanspeak, i think u need to prepare at least 2.5k. 1400 for 18W, another 1k for tweeter. big format tweeter sounds better than small ones. i mean if u have 2.5k, then grab scanspeak.

as a side note, krayden ada pergi ke KK once in a while. if u remember our last TT? the chinese dude name Kit with CRV.

CK....nope it is not contradicting...back in the days I was having lots of money compare to what i'm now...and I got friends who is also passionate about ICE.. whose cars I can audit...but now...those groups are gone...that is what I mean that when I say that unless you can find another new hobby...you will surely find a new hobby that will make you stop upgrading...

Those days is gone....with age come comitment...So I have to let go everything I used to owned...and now settling down with what left on my decreasing (almost none) budget for ICE..... But forumming rekindled the passion....but im not planning to ever come back (believe me....the money spent does not come proportionate to the reality and needs of life)...

As for powerud....Sorry if that make you feel bad....I din mean it for you...I was just making fun of Renier's post before...which I thought is clear...if not...then now you know.....

final, tu scanspeak 15w is for enclosure, tu 18w can play at the door since city door not dat big, just need to soundproof it nicely and install the mid on a custom made podium since it is 18cm. kit is the one with CRV ba, the one helped tuning is Derek driving wira. nvm, u will see them again.

power, ada tu si theaudiojourney di icehifi jual mcintosh punya amp, angkat la, haha. HU u mau P99 or P90 ka? tu sudah makan 3k minimum.

final, tu enclosure tiada jual ready made punya. mesti custom made. mesti cari sifu yg pandai buat dan agak mahal juga. lebih baik cari yg boleh main fi pintu punya.
